Marketing Copy Writing for Dog Training, Dog Sitting, Dog Groomer Business

So, you’ve got a dog training, dog walking or pet sitter business and website. You even got one of those subscribe here thingys on it because you know you need to build a list of interested dog people somehow.

And crickets. Wrong kind of pets are attracted.

You’d envisioned the website going up and people seeing you are good with dogs, the things you do for dogs and a list of services you offer and WhaaLa! Tons of paying dog clients.

Instead crickets. Damn.

I’ve been reviewing dog training websites and lead magnets (freebie treats)…. ya know that thing you need to give away so people will sign up to your list of loyal pack fans for a while now.

And let me just tell you, it’s not you. You’re good at what you do with dogs.

It’s your copywriting (or whoever did it for you!) There are some copywriting mistakes I keep seeing again and again. I’m listing some of the most common ones here, so that you can have the right dog people become your loyal paying clients and create a life well played too.

12 Copywriting Mistakes That Are Killing Your Dog Training, Sitting or Walking Sales

#1 Not knowing the importance of headlines.

#2 Not giving value in headlines.

#3 Not understanding the target market (it’s not everyone with a dog)

#4 Writing way too much or too little.

#5 Composing long sentences and even longer paragraphs.

#6 Not using a personal or conversational tone.

#7 No bullet points describing the benefits.

#8 Confusing the features with benefits.

#9 Selling the process, instead of the results.

#10 Trying to convince your clients to change their deep-rooted beliefs.

#11 Not asking for the sale.

#12 The wrong CTAs (Call to Action)- The ones that tells them to take YOUR desired action, instead of moving closer to THEIR desired results.

Now, this is not an all inclusive list. That would take me awhile, but we can get to how you can get all of that information in a minute…

There are TONS of other copywriting mistakes that cost people huge amounts of money. The list is some of the majors and I want you to start thinking in this manner so that you can gain way more clients with the things you do put on your website and post to social media.
